Summary
It is not known how long the camp at Pitlochry lasted as the account provided in the troop log appeared to be cut short. However, surviving receipts fromthe camp suggest that the final day might have been the 17th August. The Scouts were transported up to Pitlochry in a Doig's coach and set up their Patrol sites on arrival. Activities included a hike to the Pass of Killiecrankie and back, following the main A9 road. This road still exists as the B8079. At Killiecranklie, the Scouts met a couple of Perth Scouts on their 1st Class hike. There was also a visit to the Black Spout Waterfall to the east of Pitlochry.
Within camp, there were various activities and games, and an aerial runway or transporter was constructed that 'bottomed out' before the run was complete.
