11th December 1953
While the photographer was getting his camera ready, we had a game of dodgeball. Group and Mr Hodgson (Skip’s old man) were also here. The troop was then photographed.
The game tonight was football won by the Fox with the Curlews second and the seals third. A good number of boys passed tests. S. Robertson (Seagull) and D Graham (Seal) got second-class badges while Sandy Whiteford(Pl of Seagull) got (his)First-class badge and A. Whiteford (PL of Seal) got his Queen’s Scout badge (we had a lush lot of duckings.) The Seals won (the) Canoe name competition with “Venturer”.
This is (the) last meeting of 1953 because we go along to Finnart Guides next week. Points for monthly competition on previous page. Attendance equals 24.
